Just A Week Journal

Instructor: Terri Thompson
This class is inspired from an article in the Jan/Feb 2011 Cloth, Paper Scissors magazine. The article is by Heidi Sekovski and Karin Winter and is called 'Folder Journal - Making Art From Office Supplies . Terri thinks this little book is the perfect size and format to encourage non-journalers to give journaling a try. We'll collage file folders and stitch them up to make pockets to hold our journal tags. Only, 7, after all, it's just a week.

Standing Curio Class

Instructor: Linda Cain
This class is the one most asked for by students. It is a 10" tall Standing Curio that has a very vintage look. We use wire, eyelets, buttons, a bottle, silk flowers, and other ephemera to make an heirloom-looking piece. The heart, lock, and key tie it together to make a fun memory of you or your loved ones. You can bring your own B/W pictures (1 7/8" x 1 3/8") on copy paper to class and learn to make them look like old photo booth shots, or use the ones in the kit that has over 40 pieces in it. I've added embossed metal to the sides as a new twist that really makes it stand out.
